Appointments can be made Monday – Thursday 10am to 6pm. Exceptions can be made to meet outside of normal office hours on a case-by-case basis.  Call me for a free phone consultation.

Will the needles hurt?

Some people experience a slight pinch, but many feel nothing at all. In  fact, most people find the treatment to be incredibly relaxing and some even fall asleep during treatment. Acupuncture needles are extremely thin and flexible –the width of an average hair– which makes them virtually painless.

What will the first appointment be like?

The first time you come in, we will have a thorough discussion about your current health and medical history which will take about an hour and a half. Chinese Medicine aims to treat the symptoms and underlying causes of a disease, so we must first get a complete picture of your health.  I will construct a full therapy plan that may also include herbal and nutritional therapies, cupping, moxibustion (heat therapy), and tui-na massage.

Will insurance cover my visits?

Insurance coverage varies by provider.  I can provide you with a coded bill so you can get reimbursed if your provider covers acupuncture therapy.

What types of payment are accepted?

Cash or check, please.

Are you a licensed practitioner?

Yes. I received national board certification from NCCAOM and I’m fully licensed to practice acupuncture in New York State.

What should I wear?

Clothes that you might wear to the gym work best:  women should wear shorts and a sportsbra; men should wear gymshorts.
